Asos Winter Warmer Style Challenge

I was lucky enough to be one of five picked for the #accessallasos winter warmers flash challenge last week this basically meant I had less than an hour to choose five things from the Winter Warmer Range that currently has up to 30% off (until 9am Thursday), with over 1000 items in a size 18 alone this was no mean feat!

I frantically chose my picks and waited with baited breath for them to arrive. Fortunately they all fit although Mr E did have to have some zipping up skills for the dress!
I’ve currently got some image coding issues which I’m trying to sort tonight but I’m posting all images on my Twitter page and FB Page for you to view!

My first pick was the gorgeous Oversized Biker in a purple , grey and black check, it’s wool mix which normally itches me but this doesn’t ,yay! It has a gorgeous mulberry coloured faux fur collar, pleather zip details on the asymmetric zip and front pockets and large pleather cuffs with zips. It’s so snugly and will not be leaving my side this winter!

The second pick was this gorgeous Leather Midi Dress I had originally chosen another leather midi from the site but, hadn’t made it clear so got this instead! However, I’m so glad I did, albeit the zip struggles around my non existent waist , this fit great and was such a great shape, I think if I hadn’t had a few crispy cremes as a treat that day it may have looked even better! It’s a gorgeous lantern skirt shape and is made of the softest leather. Would be great with a long sleeve top and tights for day or on its own for an edgy party look. I picked leather as I wanted to link the coats details with my main outfit, and it think they look great together.

My third choice was this River Island leather embossed stud tote bag. Isn’t it gorgeous!? I’m a sucker for an RI bag and this is a dream, it’s huge which I always think looks proportionate on my 5 11′ self, and will fit in everything I lug around on a day to day basis including any files or even my laptop which is fab.
I wanted to pick a black bag so I could let the colours of the coat shine in the outfit, and think this bag was a perfect choice as it has lots of detail without detracting from the coat.

My fourth choice were these leather embellished bow gloves , I picked them to pick out the stud detail in the bag and to add a bit of interest between the coat cuff and glove , I got the XL size (I have piano playing fingers said my music teacher once, I’d say man hands lol) and they fit perfect. They’ll be great for driving in on my early starts for work, and will look great when I’m walking around all the Christmas markets I’m planning to go to this year!

Last but not least my final pick! I’m officially a size 9 in a boot or closed toe shoe so often find I can’t get an amazing shoe in my size, however these have changed everything!
The Alfonso buckle boot- at 6 inches high they’re not one for wearing out with Mr E (he’s my height had to stand on a step when I had them on to look me in the eye!) so definitely one for girls nights out, are comfy and band on trend! I paired them with a grey pair of Mr E’s socks which showed off the central cut out section and the buckle detailing! They’d look equally as cool with none or with patterned tights. With a shorter skirt some knee length socks would look good too! I picked these purely because I loved them and because I wanted a boot to finish the outfit off!

They seen to be everyone’s favourite part of the outfit so far, but I’d love to know what yours is! Please leave me your thoughts below!
