Just like darn Wally (or Waldo if you’re in the US) hiding in a crowd of people the UK winter has been hard to find. There were some smitterings of snow I saw on Helpful Mum’s Instagram in the Yorkshire Dales at the weekend, but aside from that it’s just not been very cold. Windy yes, rainy hellll yes, (sending thoughts and wishes out to those affected by the floods) cold? Not so much.

In not complaining, other than the potential climate change issues we should be facing into as a globe, the milder winter is quite nice. I’d trade it for a stable world though but that’s getting too deep for humpday.

Now I am told that it’s been cold these last few days, however I’ve been house bound with a rather painful trapped nerve, so I wouldn’t know. However I’ve been told I should be feeling better for tomorrow to get back out to work, and into the cold mornings. Taking the positives of a cold early morning start with mild to middling back pain it does finally mean I can start wearing my Hotter Boots for good and without fear of leg sweats due to the excessively warm temperatures we’ve been having!!

Ive been gutted as I haven’t managed to wear them as much as I’d liked as it does need to be below a certain degree before knee boots are acceptable for work I feel, but as I also need to be careful about what I put on my feet for my backs sake I thinks these are the winners for sure for the rest of the week.

They are super comfy as I gave them a good test run in Castleton last year they’ve got a decent stretch on the legs so go over jeans as well as leggings and the shiny leather make them look that not smarter I think. They’re in the sale now too and only £75, with most sizes left online in the chocolate brown colour.

What are you wearing now the weathers colder?
