Hands up all those ladies who struggle to find affordable knee high boots that fit! Being a 5’11 , plus size woman with size 9 feet I really struggle. Especially when it come to flat boots for the daytime.
However, I’ve found 2 pairs of boots this year, aaaand one of them is an over the knee boot, I know, I nearly fainted with the excitement.
I came across the knee high pair through the Dorothy Perkins FB page as they were promoting that they’d got some wide fit ankle and knee high boots in their range so I went straight over to their website to check them out.
I found these Burgundy Wide Fit Elastic Boots for just £35. Which really tick the affordable bracket especially with the online offers DP often run (I got 25% off)
They are a slip on style and have lots of room, but not too much which I can sometimes find to be an issue too.
As you can see there’s plenty of room at the back and the elastic is waiting to be stretched so would fit larger calves too (unlike some wide fit that just don’t accommodate calves) . They also come in black (and a similar style in dark brown) but I must admit I thought the black PU looked quite cheap compared to these ones so I stuck with the burgundy pair (even though they’ve started to call me Captain Scarlet at work!!) I’ve worn them quite a few times now and they’ve been really comfy so bonus all round.
My next find were these New Look Destiny Over The Knee Boots
Another affordable find from the New Look wide fit range. They’re from ASOS at just £34.99! They are a suede effect boot so no fear of a plastic effect on these thank goodness.
I was shocked when the actually fit me as they have smaller elastic panel and inner zip rather than lots of elastic. I did need the zip to help get them on and they are a snug fit over treggings but they still do fit well for me but there’s not much more give. I’m lucky they come just over my knee too
They lasted a full days shopping trip with no pain and I can even drive in them which u wasn’t sure if I’d be able to do!
These both will feature in many #ootd ‘s to come so I’ll show more on how I’d style them then. In the meantime if you find any great boots please let me know! I’m after a tan pair next!
