Growing up we always said when the Boots Christmas Gift Guide landed through your letterbox (yep they used to post them!) Christmas was on its way! It seems to get earlier every year with Selfridges launching a Christmas shop back in August, and some retailers getting their Christmas decs out mid September. I’m a little bit late to the party this year, with our holiday being later I’m not in the mindset to start feeling autumnal never mind thinking about the C word. But I went shopping on Saturday and picked up a guide as a starter for ten and treated myself to the Star Gift for this week. The Star Gift at Boots for those of you that don’t know is usually a higher priced gift set reduced to around 50% off, sometimes less but big ££ savings on their original prices. It lasts a week usually Thursday to the end of Wednesday – keep you eyes peeled for weekly emails from Boots. The most famous is the Soap and Glory one that we’ve come to expect where the £50 set usually goes for £25-£30 making it a bargain for fans!

When I saw what this weeks gift was I didn’t have to think much about treating myself to it. I’ve been eyeing up the Nails Inc Unicorn Polish Duo (£15) since its summer release and had managed to be quite restrained and not buy them but when this Nails Inc Beauty of Dreams Gift appeared for £20 And included them both I decided to treat myself!

So in the set you get

  • Unicorn Duo Polish – Dream Dust and Rainbow Wishes (RRP £15)
  • 2 Face Inc Sheet Masks – Show Me The Bunny and Sparkle Like a Unicorn (RRP £5 each)
  • Face Inc Mask- Silver Streak
  • Lips Inc Iridescent Sheer Gloss – In a Dream World
  • Lips Inc Iridescent Lip Strobe – Lip Trippin

I haven’t tried the Masks yet but who doesn’t want to look like a Unicorn with a sheet mask!?

The lip products have really got me, I love the shimmers over a nude colour looks fabulous! The Gloss wasn’t too sticky either so I’m looking forward to trying them out properly on holiday and I’ll report back.

I think if you know someone who loves to shimmer then it’s a pretty good gift for £20, or like I did, as an end of month treat! Let me know if you pick one up!
