I have discovered some fabulous hair products through the Salon Sucess Programme, which promotes brands like Paul Mitchell, Marula Oil and Awapuhi. They send me goodies* to try out every other month, and my last few parcels have been a god send. These mini’s went all the way to Venice in my carry on liquids bag and I was so sad when I finally used up some of them!

Paul Mitchell – Ultimate Colour Repair Triple Rescue (£7.95 this size, £17.95 full size)– This spray was the best! It’s shimmery dual phase spray didn’t add grease to my hair, but protected it from the heat and from fading. I used it everyday on holiday to protect from UV Ray’s and especially when sunbathing! The smaller size lasted me for about 5 days but I think I was over generous with my spraying! And would last a weeks holidays I’d suggest.

Paul Mitchell Express Dry Strong Hold Hairspray
(17.95 full size) – Although not the cheapest of hairsprays, this does do the job. The mini size of this one meant it fit width ways in my fancy sandwich bag carry on which allowed me to cram more things into my bag! Because small hairsprays are usually taller I often end up buying one at the airport so it was nice to be able to fit this one in and go.

Awapuhi Texturizing Sea Salt Spray (£20.50 full size) – I will not go anywhere without some form of sea salt spray. Once I go this one I knew I had to give it a go, and it’s perfect! It gave me the Beachy messy hair that I favour on holiday (I hate washing my hair everyday on holiday) and kept the dreaded humidity at bay. It’s still going strong too so will be coming away to Tenerife with me in a few weeks.

I love a good mini product for travelling abroad, but when I got these next full size products I had to take them on a UK break with me so they came along to Ox Pasture Hall with me! Don’t they look fabulous in their bathroom too?

My faves of the below were both part of the Paul Mitchell Yacht Club special edition range- the fab 413 Sculpting Brush and the Volume on Deck Duo (£23.50) below- which contains the Extra Body Daily Boost and the one product I have not stopped using- The Extra Body Sculpting Foam (basically mousse) which I pop on my roots after washing and blow drying and it gives my hair so much lift. Basically every photo in the last two months of me with my hair down (and no quiff) I’ve got this in to give my hair a bit of extra body. The Awapuhu Moisture Mist (£10.50 for 250ml) is also a fave although I’ve been slower to embrace it, it’s been great for a quick moisture shot – I’m predicting it will be a fab one to take on holiday as my hair often dries out when in the sun all day. Plus this is the 100ml version so is the perfect smaller size for popping in the suitcase.

What holiday hair heroes do you swear by? As my next trip is a sunbathing/pool holiday I’d love to hear some of your recommendations.
