This blog post is about my favourite make up look, not really my favourite face. My favourite faces are those of my cats- who could not love these resting bitch faces?
Oh and Mr E his face is pretty alright too… Any way digressions aside I do like my face too! Bumpy, wonky nose, freckles, long eyelashes everything considered!
I also like covering it in makeup! Eyes are my ‘thing’ one day I might share all the eyeshadow palettes I own on here but it’s a mild obsession! So when the new Urban Decay Smoky Palette came out I managed to resist buying it for about an hour. It arrived just before I went to Barcelona, so I took it away with me and had a play. The left hand side golds are amazing so I used them to create this eye make up look. I used the shade High for the inner corners, Dirty Sweet for the centre blending out into Radar. I used Whiskey to line the outers and crease at the outer edge and Combust on the inner crease. I love how they all work together and give such a strong smoky eye!
This is the day time look, followed by a stronger evening look using the same shadows just building them up more for evening to get a stronger smoky eye. 
I thought it could take a good lip colour so I also decided to try out my Kiss Cosmetics mini sheer stick in Breezy Coral* that the lovely people at Kiss Cosmetics sent me. It adds a sheer sweep of corally goodness and doesn’t dry out lips which is a massive bonus for me especially as I’m not much of a lipstick girl. It’s got vitamin e and jojoba oil in which provides that moisture and it’s gives just the right balance of coverage between a lip balm and lipstick, adding a sheer colour tint rather than a full on thick colour. Plus it’s miniature so is super cute!
I also used a recent mascara discovery of the 2True Pro Wow Volume Mascara* it’s actually just become my everyday mascara and for £2.99 it’s an utter bargain! It really lengthens, separates and lasts all day (and night as I found out in Barca when I forgot to take it off!).
Base wise I’m using Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer, Various Too Faced Bronzers (I recently got the bronzer wardrobe- it’s love!) the Body Shop Honey Bronze Highlighting domes and another 2True discovery their Pro Bright Touch Concealer* to highlight my brow bone. The rest of my brows are thanks to Pastille Beauty Bar in Leeds where I’ve been having them waxed and tinted. I’m filling them in still with my fave Illamasqua Brow Gel in Strike on my brows but not using half as much as I used to. And that’s about it all.
I’m loving the golden brown smoky eye with the coral lip for this late part of summer we are in. What’s your go to items for your favourite face?
