So this month I’ve had two fave beauty boxes and I’ve also seen a fair few around that I haven’t subscribed to. It seems February is a month to take it up a notch and I for one am not complaining!

Love Me Beauty

I subscribed this month , as well as receiving some treats from the LMB team. I got hold of the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer sample in cool, I did find it slightly warm in colour though still and it wasn’t for the pale skinned at all. I used it the other day though and it worked well on my both over red patches and undereyes with my usual contour afterwards. The warm shade is still available on the edit now if you want a deeper warmer shade to try out.

Another fave was the two end shades of the Studded Kiss from KVD. I got both, Underage Red* is a gorgeous matte classic red and Mercy is a deep berry/medium plum shade. I do favour nudes but I always like to have the odd strong colour in my collection for times when I need a bold lip! Having mini one are perfect as it’s usually on nights out when I do it so carrying a tiny lippie is perfect.

Finally Charlotte Tilbury arrived on site with a selection of Kiss Pockets. For those of you that have ordered from the CT site you can sometimes get these with an order and they have enough lipstick for one application, so simply kiss and go! Even better for a night out than a mini lipstick. You get 6 pockets in 3 shades in each selection for just 10 credits which is reasonable.

If these take your fancy then as ever you can get 20% off with my code lucyloves20 . Let me know if you subscribe as I’d love to know your faves! For details on how the point system works etc please see my post here for full details!

Birchbox

I really loved this month’s Birchbox! It was the Spectrum marbleous eyeshadow brush in every box that sold it to me this month. That plus the POP eyeshadow trio to go alongside it was heaven for an eyeshadow junkie like me.

I’ve also really wanted to try Show Beauty hair products for a long time so when I got their dry shampoo I was so excited. It’s the prettiest bottle, and it’s really effective and doesn’t leave as much of a residue as some others can. It does however smell like the smoke machines at a disco. Well, to be precise it takes me back to 1991 when I played a bug in a rendition of Noah’s Ark in a priory so the smell of the smoke machines used in the production plus damp church smell was one I hadn’t encountered much until now. It’s not the worst but it’s not a lovely scent I wouldn’t say! It is easily put uppable with though as it does take all the grease out of my hair and I’ve been living for it this very hectic week. I also got a sheet mask and another hair product which I haven’t managed to try yet.
If you’re thinking about joining up you can use my referral here to get 50% off your first box. Aren’t I being fab to you! PLUS March’s box contains a deluxe sample of Benefit’s They’re Real! Double the Lip product, so if you’ve been looking to try that out then go for it for sure!

Let me know if you do sub, or what beauty subscriptions you’re loving right now in the comments!
