Todays Mani Monday is brought to you with lots of Jet Lag! Luckily I painted these nails a few days ago before I left the sunnier climes of Mexico and returned to a rainy England! I’m not sure if they’d be a precise now in my blurry eyed hazy state!
I was inspired by my Aztec Dress from Warehouse (featured in this blog post) for this mani, I was going to be wearing the dress that night so decided that as I had the time I’d go for an Aztec themed manicure using the colours featured in the dresses pattern. I had a somewhat limited choice of colours based upon the small amount of polish I took with me holiday but luckily had most shades I wanted to make the themed skittle mani I wanted to. I used:
- Ciate Snow Virgin- the whitest white in mini form I think from one of my advent calendars from them. Full size is £9
- Topshop Ultilitarian -a dark khaki that’s not online anymore, but my favourite deep khaki shade. I would’ve been tempted to use black instead of this had I taken any but was happy with the softer base that the khaki gave it
- WAH nail pens in white, yellow and black luckily I took the yellow as a last minute decision. I got these in my WAH Nail Art Kit at Christmas but they’re available from Boots for £9 each
- Unbranded orange nail art pen.
I took various parts of the dresses pattern to be inspired by. The thumb and ring finger were inspired by the larger pattern running across the bottom of the dress that you can see below,, the zig zags and small orange squares running above this were inspiration for the other nails
