I’ve always been one for protecting hair in the sun, it’s often the forgotten area people forget to protect but it can easily get dry and damaged when exposed to high temperatures.
Don’t get me wrong nobody has space in their suitcase for tons of hair products so travel sizes and the right products are essential!
Poolside: Mark Hill Holiday Hair – Cover Up!
I was buying some hair products from Boots (online) on the good old 3 for 2 so decided to buy the Mark Hill Cover Up! In readiness for my holiday. At £5.99 I thought it would be slightly bigger, but is it only a 50ml bottle which is best for travelling and the beach bag but expensive for its relative travel size.
I used it daily on my last holiday to ‘help protect hair and scalp from drying out and colour from fading‘ and although I don’t know how my hair would behave without it , my hair certainly didn’t dry out like it can do and my colour didn’t fade or frazzle.
In fact I managed to get away with only washing my hair every 3 days as it remained soft, silky and bouncy providing I didn’t get dunked in the pool! (Thanks to Mr E for that!)

I took this on my last holiday as I’d received a sachet in a magazine and thought it couldn’t harm to take on holiday in case frizz struck. I hate to say despite using Free From Frizz Mango Shampoo and John Frieda Frizz Ease Conditioner whilst there the dreaded frizz struck.
The next time I washed it I applied the sachet through all my hair and combed it through using my Scaredoo brush*.
I then blow dryed my hair and straightened each section 3 times as the sachet said. The frizz had gone! I don’t know about 7 days but for 3 days I didn’t have to worry and my hair stayed super straight and frizz free, can’t complain!
I saw that it was half price at Superdrug just last week so snapped the 50ml size up for my holiday,it’s now currently on a half price deal for cardholders only now, and it’s often part of a 3 for 2 too. I decanted it into a smaller bottle as it recommends 8 pumps for each use, so I added enough for about 7 uses. As its super humid in Mexico I pinned my hopes on this! It faired we’ll but the humidity win quite a few times!
