After last weeks wintery feelings I decided to go for some pastel nail art to brighten up the week ahead!
After buying the Alexa Hearts Nails Inc Collection in the sales (£25 here) I decided to try out the Alexa Cashmere Pink and Alexa Edit Winter Lilac from the set. I also picked out a Nails Inc Sprinkles effect called Sweets Way and a Lola polish in Bluebell (that was in my Latest in Beauty Glamour Party Edit Box)
I was surprised at the size of the brushes on the Alexa polishes, they’re very wide and it just took one stroke and 2 coats for each nail. In comparison the Lola brush was very thin as was the polish and was 4 strokes and 3 coats but does have a very shiny finish in the end so lived up to its ‘Ultra Shine’ name.
I liked the effect of the cashmere, it’s somewhere between leather and matte effect, slightly softer than leather and concrete effect but still has a matte appearance and some texture.
As for nail art I wanted to keep it simple and went for a simple Daisy and spot designs in contrasting colours. It turned out pretty spring like what do you think?
