A few weeks ago now I went along to the La Redoute summer party to celebrate the summer and to also look at the upcoming autumn winter ranges. We had such fun- Having hand massages from Molten Brown, lovely cocktails, the chance to try on clothes and an ice cream van!! Of course lots of my fave blogging girls were there too!

As ever generous we got to take away the outfit we loved and this was my choice:

I love a good maroon colour for Autumn and this dress is perfect. I originally wasn’t sure about the style as it’s not something I’d usually go for, it’s straighter and slightly shorter than my usual dresses but I actually think it works and looks lovely. Here I paired it with some flat navy boots but on the night I wore heels and both work. I’m wearing a size 20 here and I’d say it was a true to size fit, it also has a hidden button to help cover up a bit more if you’re wearing it for work or something, of course I left it open as I like to show a bit of cleave! The Wrapover dress is available for £45 here

I’m also a print fanatic and when I saw this button through dress (£69)*  I fell in love. Unfortunately for me they only had an 18 and it’s very waist sinching- and I don’t have a waist so it doesn’t fit me! I kept it on as I loved it that much and think it looks great as an over jacket/dress with this outfit don’t you!? I’d suggest to wear it properly I’d need at least a 20, maybe a 22 due to the positioning of the waist on me. It also isn’t the most generous in the bust, so again if you’re eyeing it up, definitely size up. I finished the outfit off with my new Autograph bag from Marks and Spencer’s which I’ve been wanting for nearly six months and finally got in the sale (I needed to- it was £69 full price and it’s not exactly huge) I do love it when I get something I’ve wanted for ages in the sales so needless to say I was pretty happy when I picked this up.

I actually think I’m feeling Autumn-y now so I’m thinking about going to a pumpkin patch soon as I’ve never been to one- what else should I do to feel even more autumnal do you think?
