I’ve seen lots of shares of some fab independent businesses and had contact from a few asking to be shared. So why not add them all into a list for ease I thought! You’ll have seen by now lots of things doing the rounds on how you can help local and independent businesses during these new and different times we are experiencing. So here’s goes:

  1. Chat about them! Word of mouth is a great way to recommend places for now or for later! Tag a friend in their social posts, or just give them a like or comment!
  2. Buy from or Use them! If you can afford to then spend some money their way. If it’s a business that requires visiting and you can’t consider a voucher for when it’s all over! If it’s a content creator then like or comment or visit their blog and have a read! This will all help them with future projects
  3. Leave them a review- if you have time then head back to places you’ve been, bought from and what not and drop a review to help others and get them noticed more!

Retail Sector – Gifts

Tailor Made Online: Antonia is fab and runs this business- I bought this fab necklace from her earlier this year. She delivers both through the post (Free this month!) and locally (Enfield, London) and is even taking face time orders! Perfect for people like me who like to chat and have a look at things! Drop her a message on insta here or take a look at her online shop!

The Little Yorkshire Candle Company: Alex started this up and got her shop in York late last year. I bought the create candle a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it is luusssssh. She’s offering free p&p on orders over £10 right now.

Bow Boutique Matlock– I love popping in here when we visit matlock and after Christmas had some bits posted out to me from there! Head to their insta for a shop tour and if anything takes your fancy then just message them!

Sweet Treats By Charlotte: Charlotte is a beaut and I love her treats! Message her for more info on how to get your hands on her fab sweetie letters and more! (Leeds based)

Tot Knots of Brighton– I was given an alice band from these guys who are so lovely! An outfit shot is pending and I have to say it’s so comfy to wear. They deliver and it’s so lovingly made!

Lovely’s Vintage Emporium– Lynnette is Fab and her taste in vintage is amazing. I’ve got quite a few things from her store before now including my tassel necklace you now see me wearing all the time in posts! The only place I know that will have some fab vintage pieces!

Assembly Underground available through Deliveroo etc. Falafel Guys, Jah Jyot and Slap and Pickle are my faves from this venue. Ran by some absolutely fantastic people with a real passion for what they create.

42nd East Bakehouse now deliver! These are my fave cookies and they do Easter egg delights too. So now I won’t be in Leeds I’ll be ordering from this Beverly (Lincs) based biz for SURE.

Tarte and Berry always deliver and they are my fave brownies ever. I last had these whilst staying at Harewood Holidays* and I ordered them for when my friend had her baby- it’s the best gift for a new mum! Currently they are keeping up with demand on orders and could be the perfect Mother’s Day treat (order by Thursday.)

North Brewing Co- the only beer I have drank in my 30’sbut lets be real I managed about 10 sips lol. These guys and gals have an online shop where you can stock up on all the beer and relevant merch plus vouchers that they’ve now added so I you know someone that loves a beer And they’ve got an occasion coming up then why not send them one to treat themselves!?

Retford And Surrounding Areas

Bacons Bakery and Butchers these guys do THE best bread rolls. They are delivering locally for free to the elderly and vulnerable. Well done you guys!

Vert Zerowaste- This team has loo roll aplenty! Need you have another reason to visit? Well that and their excessive packaging free model is great for the environment and everyone is so lovely there! They’ve extended their opening hours for now- and I’m sending luke down for some bits.

DT Smith and Daughters Fruit and Veg Retford: offering delivery boxes of veg to your door!

Doddington Hall Farm Shop– offering delivery up to 25miles from them for £3 (or free if within 10 miles) they do amazing produce, Frozen and longer life stuff too! Just call them to sort!

The White Horse Inn at Barnby Moor- remember seeing this beaut of a Sunday Lunch over on Instagram? Well they are launching a take away service where you can order and collect contact free. Win.

Hopefully this has helped some of these independent businesses a little. Please let me know if you think you should be on this list And if I’ve spent money with you before or you come highly recommended then you’ll be a welcome addition!
