I am in love with this dress. It’s been constantly on repeat in my wardrobe I think for the following reasons:

  1. It has a gorgeous cold shoulder that suits me, without making me look like I have broad slopey shoulders, and is frilly and pretty
  2. It’s long enough: It is not a true maxi, the dip hem is long enough at the back but raises at the front to show a bit of leg (and shoes- also from Boohoo here
  3. It’s the perfect seventies print, this combined with its classic autumnal colours makes me love it wholly. Tan and burgundy are the best colour pairings for it I’ve found
  4. It can be worn for most occasions. I wore this to a 30th birthday party. I wasn’t sure if the venue, however when I saw it was a local pub, I added flats took off the belt and added a drape cardigan and it was way more casual than its original iteration
  5. It skims my figure but yet also fits in all the right places. It’s one of those dresses you pop on and know it’s the one for you!

I’m wearing an 18 here and it’s just right. If you’re blessed to have less height than me, id say thanks to its higher front you could easily wear it maybe if you’re above 5,5 with heels. It had been a while since I’d bought something from Boohoo but I’m glad that this Boohoo Plus number bucked the trend. And at £20 it was an utter steal too! It’s no longer on site but I now have my eyes on these maxis from Boohoo Plus (Amy Floral Sleeve Plunge Maxi and Liz Chiffon Frill Maxi )Have you got an all purpose dress for this summer?
