If you don’t know I’m an Asos Insider, and one bonus is that which I can opt into events in the hope of getting picked to be able to go!
I saw the Swap Shop was planned for the weekend after my birthday so I opted in and luckily got picked!
We were sent a list with guidance before we attended, we could take up to 3 items to swap, they had to be in good condition and something people would want to wear (so no bobbly jumpers, or primark basic vests!).
Picking what to take was hard! I eventually went for 3 items
I picked a Topshop cropped floral Tee , a George jacquard oversize top and a river island silver dress/long top
They’d either been worn once or not at all!
Upon arrival we were greeted with a little breakfast I tried to stick to healthy eating but don’t like granola so opted for a mini cinnamon Danish and Apple juice. We then had to check in our items ,and write about about them on the tags we were provided.

We then had a run through from the AccessAllAsos team on the day. As well as swapping clothes including lots from ASOS, we would hear about ASOS Marketplace and from some of their boutiques that sell with them.
I was interested to hear about marketplace as I’d previously register to sell as a ‘wardrobe’ (an individual selling their wardrobe, a bit like eBay but with fixed prices) but as it stated that the item had to be photographed in daylight and on a person I never actually sold anything.
That rule has now been relaxed for wardrobe sellers which means you can sell things that no longer fit you!
I’m definitely going to list a few things on there instead of eBay now!
We then heard from Amy of Mod Dolly , she has some wonderful dresses on her site and talked us through her journey as a marketplace boutique, she also had exclusive news of her new premium label that will be showing at Pure London in February.
It was then time for lunch, again, I tried to be good, and had a chicken skewer and roasted vegetable and goats cheese wrap with a glass of wine. Yum!
It was then time to go and swap, I must admit it was quite nerve wracking wondering if you would get the item you really wanted! I was lucky and managed to snap up my most wanted thing which is this dress- it’s still available here but is low stock.
Isn’t it gorgeous?
It is longer on me than the model (that never happens!) which is great as I will be able to wear it without fear of flashing my bum. The sequin embellishment is heavy which makes it look so expensive, and it has a v shaped back too, as you can see I wore that at the front when I styled it.
The bottom part of the dress is a multiple layer soft chiffon and tulle which flares out from the fitted waist. I Love IT!
My 2nd and 3rd choice were these 2 beauties! I ummed over them as there was a skater dress there that I had so nearly bought from the site a week ago but thanks to some help from the other girls I went for these:

I was worried the light blue dress wouldn’t fit but it does perfectly, and is still available on the site here , the shirt dress is past season so is now sold out.
After that we all went to sit down and then were told it all HAD to go, and we could go and get what we liked! I didn’t need telling twice so went and got the skater dress I has wanted originally! Plus some more bits…
After all that excitement we heard from another marketplace seller, House of JAM
It was then time to go home with our hauls!
I went and met Mr E at the natural history museum where he had been whilst I was having lots of ASOS fun. We had a great selfie under Dippy! Poor quality I know, but had to include it!
Such a great day all round!
