I got a sneak peek at ASOS beauty at the ASOS Go Play Event back in September and I couldn’t wait for it to hit the site so I could start to browse and add to my ever growing Beauty lust list. I’d heard rumours however that the next ASOS Beauty box would have some in so decided to wait, and boy am I glad I did!
I ordered it ASAP and thanks to ASOS Premier it was on my desk by lunchtime. The box has five items in it :
- Mascara £8
- Eyeliner in Straight Up £6
- Eyeshadow Palette in Out Out £12
- Liquid Lip in Immersed £7
- Blusher in Unbothered £8
So £41 worth of makeup for the bargain price of £12! That’s the same price as they eyeshadow palette alone. Well worth a purchase to see how you get on. Surprisingly there’s still some stock left on site so be quick if you’re going to opt in for it.
So far I’m super impressed by the liquid lip, although a bit dark for me, when I applied it and realised this getting it off was a struggle! So I’d imagine the wear time to be pretty good too! The eyeshadow palette was less so, although I tried it without primer so didn’t give it a fair chance I admit, the shades merged into one when applied and blended slightly and my eyes just looked a bit muddy. I’ll report back once I’ve tried it properly but needless to say it’s not my fave eyeshadow formula ever.
My absolute fave product of the five is the blusher, the perfect natural shade for me, and the colour pay off is great! One small sweep and I’m done – again I discovered this after going for a big swoosh and then realising I looked like a clown! I’ve learnt since luckily though but shows the colour can be built if that’s how you like it! By far my fave and I’d recommend trying a shade you fancy as for £8 I don’t think you can go far wrong. Heres a terrible car selfie which shows off the colour of it with my fave Primark highlighter on top of the cheekbones.
I’d love to know if you’ve tried any ASOS makeup before and what you recommend I try next! Or if you’re now thinking about it- what are you planning to pick up!?
