Sometimes you just have to treat yourself, or be treated, so when Mr E took me out for afternoon tea a while back to do just that I was like a pig in mud. However we were quite disappointed by what we were given and after thinking about it for a while I complained about the standard of it The hotel were very apologetic and invited us back to experience afternoon tea how it should be done there. I must say it was much better and we had a lovely time. I’ve increasingly found myself getting busier recently so it was quite nice to take some time out, and the clouds even parted slightly to stop bucketing it down either side of it.
Anyway… More importantly what did I wear to Afternoon Tea Part 2? My trusty Asos Whitby Jeans with the ripped knee came out , unfortunately I was too excited for cake and made the hole bigger by putting my foot through it!! Oops!

I paired it with a new top from Very. It’s a cami top in lace, with a v neckline, and flares out from the waist. Also it has Pom Poms at the bottom of it. Actual Pom Pom’s. It’s really flattering albeit a bit low cut but I love it! (I’ve now bought the black version too)

Primark cut out ballet pumps were on my feet and an old Dorothy Perkins Statement necklace helped cover up the expanse of skin up top.

As the weather wasn’t glorious (check out those grey clouds)I topped it off with this EBay kimono/jacket.  now for £5.62 posted I thought I’d chance the fit , which stated the L size was an 18. It is more like a 14, but fits my arms (just) and covers my sides so I kept it. It did the job and I think it looks pretty good with the outfit I had on.

I do think I’ll stick to Primark for cheap bits in the future though as at least they can be relied upon for sizing (I won’t even start on the Large bikini that fit my size 8 friend!!)have you bought anything from eBay that’s been a good buy or that hasn’t been the size you were expecting ?
