I’ve gotta say I do love a good bargain Travelodge room. Every time they bring out a £29 room deal I’m in there and we’ve now started to even get a collection of faves to stay at for various reasons- mainly airport stay overs to be fair! So here’s a list of my fave ones for airport lay overs that are bargainous plus a transitional autumnal outfit because why not!?

Outfit

  • River Island Chunky Bobble Knit Cardigan £46
  • River Island Plus Basic T-shirt £10
  • New Look Black Net Beach Bag NOW £8
  • (Skirt George at Asda bought August this year/ Belt old New Look/ Necklace old H&M/ Sandals old Evans)

Stansted Airport

  • Travelodge Great Dunmow

We’ve stayed in this one twice now and I prefer it to the other stansted one in Bishops Stortford. It’s newer and a quick drive away you can find the town with some restaurants and bars- in fact it was quite buzzing on the Sunday night when we stayed there! We went to the Angel and Harp for Sunday dinner though and despite them running out of crackling it was lovely! We got our rooms here for £22 for the Sunday night so well worth it!

Leeds Bradford Airport

  • Travelodge Morley

This ones a bit further out from the airport as it’s 15 miles away but always pretty affordable we stayed there on a Saturday night for about £40 (last min booking) and although it’s a bit older it’s great for two reasons. 1. It has a Toby Carvery next door which means carvery breakfast! And 2. The staff are wonderful – so so nice and helpful!

Manchester Airport

  • Travelodge Altrincham

This ones the closest and once you’ve navigated finding it and parked up (it can be a bit tricky!) it’s great. It’s pretty central to Altrincham too so there’s lots of things around to do and places to eat. Rooms were fine and it was a great base for an early morning flight the next day. However they’ve recently opened Travelodge Stockport which is a bit further away but seems cheaper. We’ve got a room there on Saturday for £29 so will report back on that one!

Doncaster Airport

  • Travelodge Doncaster Lakeside

This one is on the lakeside park so near a cinema, Asda (priorities), food places and Doncaster dome. I’ve never needed to stay there as a taxi is better as we are so close but I’m told it’s a nice hotel and it’s less than 15mins away from the airport too.

Let me know if you have any more recommendations for Travelodges near airports and I will share!
