Of course any event I can outfit plan for I am onboard with! Nowadays there’s many a way to spend a Valentines Day, from girls night outs to spending the evening on with your significant other (pets included in this statement – my catties will be getting lots of cuddles as per!). I’m going out for dinner, I’m not sure where as it’s a surprise so I can’t wait. I usually spoil surprises so keep your fingers crossed that I don’t for me won’t you?!

I wanted a nice dress to wear because I always feel that little bit more glam in a dress, however if I discover I’m off down the local boozer then I may have to change my mind! Fingers crossed it’s a lovely restaurant so I get the chance to wear this beautiful dress from Wolf & Whistle.

Wolf & Whistle launched a capsule collection of Curve items running up to a size 26 a few weeks ago- They’ve chosen their fave pieces of their main range as a foray into the plus size market, and if this does well then I’m sure it will only grow by choice and size. I’m loving it as all the prints are super pretty and are hand drawn or painted by the Wolf & Whistle designers (so no ‘bought’ prints here!)
There’s a beautiful pleated blue dress which I nearly went for but thought it may be too short, a red lace dress which is right down my street (but kind of a body con style which isn’t) and a beautiful peachy pink floral dress which is beaut, but again is slightly shorter than the one I chose.  I however went for the Peach Ombré Floral Midi Dress (£65)*. Mainly as I knew it would be a great length on me and the shape is one I turn to again and again to fit my shape brilliantly.

This size 20 did just that, the thick almost satiny material looked fab on (and such great quality) whilst the fit was perfect for me. The larger straps means a great supporting bra can be worn with it too which is always a necessity nowadays I find.

The length on me was great too, if you are not a giant like me then it will be fine, but I’d advise anyone who classes themselves as short to wear heels though, if not the Wallpaper Floral Frill Dress (£65) would be better suited as it’s that bit shorter.

Talking of heels, my MissGuided Block Heel Satin Tie Sandal (£40) in nude with rose gold hexagonal block heels were perfect to go with this dress! They are a size 8 standard fit, considering I’m usually a size 9 wide fit they may be worth trying as the cross straps that aren’t adjustable did have some room in them. The rest of the straps going around the heel and ankle are self-tie so perfect for any size ankles too.

I finished off the outfit with this little pouch from Accessorize in a coral pink with ‘Made Of Money’ embossed in gold. I got it in the sale for just £3 the day before but this coral ‘Shine Bright'(£10) is a similar kind of thing if you’re loving it. It’s perfect for a lipstick, keys, phone kinda night, maybe not so great if you like to carry your life around with you!

I’m really feeling this outfit and it will take me well into spring and summer, I’m on the look out for a little pink or coral cardigan as think it will make a lovely race day outfit or wedding guest outfit and a little cardy will keep the chill away. It’s still got me pining for spring to come that’s for sure! What about you?!
