Tartan #OOTD

Last weekend saw an impromptu visit to the big smoke. I’d completely missed that Wretch 32 was playing at the Kensington roof gardens on Saturday so when I saw a rehearsal photo on Instagram I started looking for tickets straight away and booked them.
There were other artists performing throughout the day but thanks to various traffic mares we only managed to catch Kyra and Lexie before the main act.
Of course it was amazing and Wretch performed his new single 6 words for the first time acoustically which made the day. I was lucky enough to see him perform a similar acoustic gig last year and he should definitely do it more often. Shakka also joined him on stage for the finale Blackout which I never tire of seeing or hearing. The change of drummer from the last gig I saw to McNasty (some may remember him for BGT, others may because he’s Labrinths brother) was a great move as he was fantastic.
So, what does one wear to a gig that may be outside, or inside in the middle of the day to a rather expensive (Rekorderlig £7 each!! And a service charge for taking off the cap, for serious!) venue? I went for this.

My newly purchased River Island Tartan Blazer £55, River Island Matilda Jeans £40 and Necklace £18.

I added my mulberry bag and Faith cutout shoes which for first wear were surprisingly comfy.

The black top is this smock top from G21 George at ASDA for just £12 it’s a great shape and was perfect for dancing around in.

When the excitement was over we went to Bills in Kensington. I must say I would return in a heartbeat! All our waiters and waitresses were lovely, chatty and genuinely nice! The food was also immense!
I had the chicken and chorizo burger, which was uber amazing- The combination of the avacado with the chorizo made it I think!
Luke had the Chicken Skewers and sweet potato fries (which were delicious!)

Afters were Eton Mess for me and lemon meringue from the specials for Luke. Both were tasty and the Eton Mess is one to beat, the meringue was perfectly gooey and the whipped cream and mascarpone was thick and creamy.
