When I saw the sneak peek of the Brooke Shields for Mac collection I knew the eyeshadow palette had to be mine! I managed to pic one up from the Mac Counter in Debenhams at Meadowhall on release day so I was very happy as it’s pretty much sold out everywhere now.
Packaging:
As with most Mac limited edition collections the packaging has been updated and is a grey case, with orange Mac logo and Brooke’s Autograph on the top window. It’s quite classic and I like the pop of orange, however I can’t help but feel the extra £5 was spent on this (this palette retails at £70, whereas the Mac cool and warm 15 pan palettes were £65 and had the same net weight as this one)

There’s a perfect mix of old and new shades with various finishes.

My first impressions after using it for a few days are that I do enjoy most of the colours. I wish that Psyche was a little stronger on initial application as I find it needs a little building up. I can take or leave carbon as I don’t use black too often to line my eyes or in a smoky eye look.
I’m already loving some of the ranged shades like satin taupe and shroom, but also plummed has become a quick favourite and I’ve used it every day so far!
I’d love to know what you think to Mac’s Limited Edition ranges are they worth the hype??
