I trying really hard to like lipstick, but I am failing ! So I decided I needed to ease myself in with more natural shades and finishes.
Cue the Revlon Colorburst Balms , now I know there been lots of reviews on these already so I won’t stick around long to say how glorious they are!
The Matte Balm I chose was Complex (£7.99) a lovely apricot based nude. I haven’t used a matte lip finish before (remember I’m a 30’s Blogger and coffee and heather shimmer were my first lipsticks! ) but I really like this, I just have to restrain myself from putting a gloss on top!
I couldn’t not choose a Lacquer Balm too so I picked up Demure (£7.99) which is a light pink nude with shimmer particles, much more in my comfort zone!
The other benefit to this is that is it really moisturising , it contains Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Coconut Oil ,and Peppermint Oil (which explains the minty fragrance) so I’ve only picked up my actual lip balm about once a day. Colour wise I have had to re apply this every couple of hours to keep the colour fresh.
This is my favourite one out of the two, more so as it’s nearer to what I am comfortable wearing, so I’ll keep pushing myself to use the Matte Balm!
Overall I really like them both, they’ve allowed me to wear more colour whilst keeping my lips moisturised, plus I really like the minty smell!
Have you tried a Revlon Colorburst Balm yet?
