Pleats Please with Lovedrobe

Throwback to the time I was at the Curve Fashion Festival and I did the Snapchat takeover for Lovedrobe it seems so long ago already. Whilst I was taking snaps of everyone’s purchases for their snapchat a number of items caught my eye of course. This Print Pleat Back Shirt (£45) in orange, was one of them which I just had to have! I like a good trouser/shirt combo and probably don’t wear them enough really, as it’s hard to find shirts that are a decent length for me.

This is a great length though,  almost tunic length on an average height person- and still a decent length on me- someone even said they liked my dress when I wore it to work, that’s when I knew it was perfect for me! I fell in love with the Aztec/Deco repeat print and spent ages trying to decide if to get it in this colour way or in the blue colour way- it’s a hard life isn’t it!? Eventually it was decided that this beautiful orange/mulberry/green version of the pattern was the one for me, as the colours suit me more, and maybe if Santa is feeling generous he might just bring me the blue version for Christmas.

Style wise it’s fairly loose fitting, slightly tighter around the bust and then flares out. The the pleat back starts around the waist which gives the dip hem that bit of ‘flare’ to it which I really like. I wore a little cami vest under mine but it’s not see through it was just to make sure I didn’t flash my belly as you can see it was a windy day when we shot these photos!

I’m wearing my Evans Black Treggings (last seen in this post) , and New Look Velvet Ballet Pumps which were an absolute bargain at £9.99 and in a size 9! I just think it’s such an autumnal look, and I love it. I do think it could be dressed up more for maybe a dinner out or something, with maybe leggings (or tights if you’re shorter than me) and heels too. I’m wearing a size 20 on these pics and I’d say it’s pretty true to size, if you’re unsure though always size up as it will make sure there’s no gaping situations going on. What do you think to this shirt- and should I ask Santa for the blue version?
