So it’s that bi monthly time when I get another styling society box* to to review for you all! The main thing to talk about is the Paul Mitchell United in Pink range, it’s supporting Bright Pink who are a non profit organisation who aim to save women’s lives from breast and ovarian cancer by educating , supporting and empowering. You can read more about them here.

The range consists of a newly designed paddle brush (£12.50) , sculpting brush (£7.50), Serum (£19.50)and a ‘Blow Out Cancer Gift Set’ (£42). I was sent the gift set and the serum to try out, and as these are available to buy now I thought I’d share some first impressions.

You may remember in this post I said I was loooooving this mousse, well the Blow Out Cancer Gift Set contains products from the same volume range- the extra body shampoo and rinse(conditioner) and Thicken Up lotion. It comes with a free sculpting brush- I’m loving the sculpting brushes, this is my second now and this one has gone straight in the gym bag! When I used The Thicken up lotion, I added 4 drops to wet hair, blow dried and added the mousse afterwards to calm flyaways. Although my hair is very dry at the moment , this lotion did manage to get some volume built in and it kept its volume and thickness, even when I’d been out in the wind that’s crept up on us out of nowhere, for quite a while. The bag they come in is super cute too, it even has a little heart toggle on the zip and I’ll be using it to keep eyeshadow crayons in I think, as I’ll be able to easily see which colour is where.

I haven’t used the Super Skinny Serum yet, but reading about what it does (smooths, reduces frizz and adds shine) I feel like it would have been the perfect addition to the above combo.
It’s great that Paul Mitchell are supporting such a worthwhile cause, they are also supporting CoppaFeel! With their Uni Boob Team project which sends a free text message to uni students to remind them to check their boobs. You can sign up for your own reminders on the CoppaFeel! Website too, so get cracking!
I really love how companies get behind breast and ovarian cancer charities for Brest cancer awareness month, I can’t wait to see more products being released to raise funds and awareness of all the different charities in the field I’ll try and feature some more on here as they are released!
