So this weeks nail art weekly theme was ‘The month you were born in’ therefore mine was January. I thought if things associated with January, Blue Monday,cold weather, dark nights, being poor, and none of these made for a good mani! So I decided to base it loosely on my birthstone, Garnet.
It’s down to Elizabeth Duke that I know this, ahh the things the Argos catalogue had taught me!
I had some real Swarovski crystals in volcano I thought I could use to represent the garnet and chose Barry M in gold (the 2012 Boots Christmas Edition) to contrast with them. I then chose a gold flecked deep burgundy from OPI in Tease-y Does It ( discontinued now) and a red burgundy from Ciate in Dangerous Affair £9.
I added gold studs to match the gold (and my outfit today!) and some serious amounts of topcoat.
I’m loving this mani and how it matched my outfit this weekend!
