Camo is back! As so many of you liked my camo twist mani and I had a few comments asking to try it with actual camo colours so I decided to give it a go!
I picked up a few of the Models Own Colour Chrome polishes in the MO sale last week,and this shade in Olive is the perfect shade for an accent nail and to use as the lighter camo colour.
It’s the first one I’ve been able to try out properly since they came in the post , the brush is quite wide which is great for a one stroke application that most chrome’s need , but it it did mean I got it everywhere when trying to paint it onto my narrow nails.
My thumb needed more than one stroke so that did pose an issue that took 3 coats to correct so wasn’t great.
I then used my trusty Nails Inc Caviar topcoat which then streaked it again!
Finally though I did it, and I like how it looks from afar just not so much in close up as it highlights any ridge.
On the other nails I used Nails Inc shades in
Parliament Hill (Base colour)
Fouberts Place (Taupe khaki)
Belgrave Mews (Mid khaki with shimmer)
And my black WAH Nail Art Pen
I used the same technique as before with a dotting tool and I love it!
I actually think I like this design more than leopard print! And with khaki being a key shade this spring summer it could be one I’ll keep wearing!
