Glow in the Dark Bingo- OOTD

I alongside quite a fair old few Leeds Bloggers were invited to play Glow in the Dark Bingo. Yup. Really! Ladbrokes Bingo put on the event and I must say I had a whale of a time. I do like a bit of bingo only on holidays though (I’m no professional!) and it reminds me of rainy days in Skegness when I was younger! It was also at a favourite venue of mine, the Belgrave Music Hall, and I’m happy to say I had the Dough Boys pizzas whilst I was there yay! As well as being fed with those I had a cupcake, drinks and my face painted!

All this PLUS bingo?! I hear you cry?! Yep.

It was super funny as A LOT of the ladies hasn’t played before (I couldn’t quite believe it!) and so struggling through the fast calling of numbers and discovering the numbers went in groups down the cards was pretty funny!

I snuck out inbetween games to the roof terrace to take some photos- thanks to Laura for these! It was the first outing it my newest favourite shirt/dress combo from Simply Be. Their Printed Long Line Shirt Dress was £45 but I considered it to be quite versatile and I just loved the print so splurged on it. I wore it alongside my most comfy River Island Heels, Primark top and necklace and Warehouse Jeggings. I loved how it all worked well together! The face paint was gorgeous so thankyou to Stephanie for it! I kept getting lots of funny looks on my walk home and even had to stop at the services on the way home where I got some more stares! Back in the dark I won the ‘test round’ which didn’t have a prize like the others did but I did get an envelope from Ladbrokes with a £100 free play on the Ladbrokes Bingo site.
Now here’s the serous bit. Knowing and having known people with different levels of gambling addictions I thought long and hard about even attending the event. I’ve turned down casino nights before as in my opinion it overstepped the mark where I was comfortable, however I accepted this purely as I see Bingo as a good bit of fun, the online side of things is heavily promoted in mainstream TV too but again I consider it to be slightly different to going and playing bingo, and is a bit of a grey area for me. It’s a bit like going to the races (which I do in my free time and will do courtesy of Ladbrokes again next week) versus going to a betting shop and placing a bet on the horses (which I wouldn’t do). So my feelings were mixed on my prize I must say.

However after thinking about it when I got home I decided to use it as a test case to see what it’s really like to play. A bit of don’t knock it before you’ve tried it type of thing. Once registered I chose mainly low odds games with few people playing. once you’ve bought your tickets the game does the rest. There’s no marking off it just does it all for you. For me it wasn’t as fun as real bingo but I get there is a chat element to it where you can interact with other players. I didn’t partake in that- I don’t have time to blog sometimes so no time to chat lol! But can see it could be quite a little community of people chatting. I managed to get through the £100 in less than a week! I wasn’t as careful with it as I would be if it was my own money though- I won and withdrew £83. So if it was my own money I would’ve lost £17. I did debate even writing all this but I do think it’s important to say how I found it. I will be buying something lovely with the money but I for sure will be sticking to real life bingo. We had so much fun we even said we would arrange a northern based bloggers bingo night out so hands up if you fancy it!!- comment below!

I had a fab time there it was great to enjoy such a relaxed fun event so thanks to all who helped organise it and those that came that I had huge amounts of fun with!
