I'm not sure who exactly IS a fan of humidity, not only does it make my hair resemble something almost Oompa Loompa like (albeit not green of course thank goodness) it also means I'm sweating my makeup off within 5 seconds flat. Brill. Now I know we don't all want to pile the makeup on when we're abroad (especially not in the daytime I feel!) but even when we've been lucky to have nice weather at home it's been pretty darn warm and there's no way I'm not wearing makeup on a night out. Nah.

Luckily for me my saving grace dropped through my letterbox in June and I haven't looked back since. The Rimmel Insta makeup collection has been an Insta-nt hit (see what I did there!?) with the highlights of the collection for me being the Insta Fix & Go makeup setting spray and primer (£6.99)* and the Insta Fix & Matte setting Powder (£4.99)*.
The powder is absolutely fantastic. Hands down the best translucent pressed powder I have used. It sets my face, without leaving a cakey dusting like some can, and leaves my forehead oil free all day long, even when the humidity starts to rear its stifling head. For just under a fiver it's a steal.

The setting spray is also pretty good for the price, it can be used to prime before hand and then to set everything at the end to stop the inevitable makeup slide that usually happens just after lunch time I find. I've still been using my Urban Decay All Nighter for more important occasions but have been using this affordable alternative for my working week as it's perfect for that and can be replaced without wincing about the money you'll have spent.
What are your key makeup fixers for when the temperatures rise?
