Now it might be my age but I remember the Valley Centertainment Park in Sheffield (near Meadowhall for those not too local) being built and opened and when it had a nightclub on site (and yes I did frequent it but only a few times!). Needless to say it’s moved on since the early noughties and I was invited to an evening full of entertainment organised for me and a few of Sheffields resident bloggers.

We bowled, laser quested, adventures golfed and ate our way through the evening, culminating with a film at the newly refurbished Vue cinema. I won’t run through everything we did step by step as I would be for an age but my highlights included:

Accidentally being part of someone’s vlog/snapchat whilst attempting to take a selfie with a pot dog at Paradise Adventure Golf

Nearly getting a strike at Hollywood Bowl with what is now known as my Barcelona Wrist (where I trapped it in the hotel door and had severe pain for 3 weeks afterwards!) not bad I didn’t think!

Coming SECOND at laser quest!!! On my first time ever- yes at 34 I’d never done laser quest- I consider d second good especially as Billie named herself Winner on the scoring.

I mean what a fab night! I don’t make the cinema thanks to needing an early night that night, and I’m gutted as its not long since the Cineworld had a revamp and has 4D and a VIP experience with amazing chairs (and food included in the price), I feel it’s an excuse to go back and experience it!

Food wise whilst we were there we had mains and gorgeous cocktails at Chiquito’s- I opted for somethings from the Street Food (Tapas) Menu. The Patatas Bravas were too spicy for me, but the Sweet Chorizo Croquettes with a sweet jalapeño jelly were just gorgeous! Roast Veg and Feta Empanadas were my last course of the three (it’s 3 for £12.95) and again they were delicious. I also had a side of Halloumi as I had been tempted by the Halloumi bites on the street food menu so it was a fab way of getting a Halloumi fix!

For desserts we went to Frankie and Bennys to try out their new dessert menu which was to die for. The Oreo Cheescake which comes with the ‘Can’t Decider which is a plate of 4 mini deserts to ‘share’. We actually did share and also tried out Profiteroles, Waffles and Banana split. I also had an amazing milkshake alongside. Drool.

It was a jam packed night and when I got home I did say it would be easy to spend a full day there. I’ve already promised to take Mr E laser questing and to the cinema so I’m sure I’ll be back pretty sharpish, especially as I’m dying to go back to Laser Quest as it was my fave part of the evening for sure!
