Wednesday saw a bloggers event at Crabtree and Evelyn in Leeds organised by Kelly. Their new campaign, Handy Tips, Handed Down was the focus- this campaign is about sharing beauty tips that have been shared through families for generations- how sweet!
I must say, I think I’m the one giving tips to my mum, not the other way around! However I do have her to thank for my hair wash frequency, whenever let me wash it more than once a week when I was younger, luckily I didn’t have greasy hair ( a coincidence?) and so I was able to keep it up throughout living with them and beyond! I manage about every 6 days and it has kept it in great condition!
I also asked my mum-in-law if she had any tips that she swears by, she said not, but as I did this she drizzled the olive oil on the salad we were eating and then rubbed her hands with the excess oil that drizzled on them! Her mum who is Italian, always used to do it, as it makes a great hand softener, and means the drips don’t go to waste.

I chose this one to write on my leaf to go onto the tree in the window, we all shared a tip on there and if you go in and do the same you will get a £5 off £15 spend voucher, and entry into a competition to win a photography prize. There’s a site where you can enter your tips too Crabtree Handy Tips if you’re more of an online shopper.

I had my pic taken with Faith and we both had a gorgeous hand treatment using the hand recovery scrub and cream. I chose the citron scent, And it’s gorgeous!

I must admit I hadn’t taken any notice of C&E before so it was nice to see how friendly all the colleagues were, and it was nice to meet lots if new bloggers and be able to chat!
As my hands have been super dry after holiday I decided to treat myself to the products used in my hand treatment. The box with both in usually costs £25, which is a saving of £6 on the individual prices, but it was reduced to £17. Only £1 more than buying the hand recovery on its own!
We also received a goody bag each, I got the Iris hand cream and this gorgeous nail polish- yes they do nail polish! Who knew?
