Sometimes I feel the need to write a beauty post about a specific item and this is one of those times! I am mildly obsessed with all things eye makeup related, and in particular, liquid eyeshadows and cream stick eyeshadows. I like to use them as a base or in lieu of a primer but also to add more shimmer than a powder eyeshadow can deliver.

Of course the most famous of these are the Stila Glitter and Glow or Shimmer and Glow Liquid eyeshadows. My friends who aren’t into makeup can’t believe I’d spend £23 on one thing though and it’s not the cheapest of ways to get a multitude of shades either. And of course when a product starts really hitting that cult status others come following. That’s not necessarily a bad thing in any way, as what it’s meant it more Liquid eyeshadows to go round, and some more affordable options too.

Which leads me to Collection’s Glam Crystals Liquid Eyeshadows. Following on from their success Glam Crystals Liquid Liner which is pretty epic I’m informed, they’ve launched four shades (with more to come I believe) yesterday in Boots stores, and coming to Superdrug on Wednesday 28th March. I’ve picked up the shades Divine and Envy to try out, and both are lovely shades once applied. They come with a little doe foot applicator and once applied dry pretty quickly which I like.

I put them straight on my oily lids which didn’t give them much of a chance really but they stayed on all evening and look great together, I put the darker shade, Envy, on the outer of the lids and the lighter shade, Divine, on the inner corners, they blended quite well in the centre too , I tried to show this in the swatches to the best of my ability, which seems is not that good haha. After swatching them in my hand they stayed out for a few hours there too, pretty good considering I thought!

Comparison wise the lighter shade isn’t as strong as the Stila Shimmer and Glow versions I have its slightly more opaque, but if built up in layers could get there. However for £3.99 I really don’t mind so much and they still have a good colour pay off!

Will you be picking up one of them to try!? Let me know what you think below.
