Ad| Contains Gifts. When Monsoon clothing got in touch after seeing me on Instagram in one of their fab dresses, looking to gift me another I knew where I wanted to visit to showcase it! I’ve visited a few stately homes/halls at Christmas time but hadn’t been to Doddington Hall, a hall about 15 mins outside of Lincoln. Entrance for adults is £11 each and children over 5 are £5.50 with a family ticket (2 adults up to 4 children at £29).

Once through the gatehouse, the short walk to the house is stunning with Topiary unicorns flanking the door. There are various rooms decorated using mainly materials from the Doddington grounds and it’s all so beautiful!

I knew this bronze sequin midi dress from Monsoon * was the ideal outfit to be shot in the long gallery. It’s been turned into Narnia with a thrown fit for an Ice Queen. It’s so very special to walk through, and is certainly the star of the show, or hall!

We wandered through the dining room with a beautiful fairy forest that surrounded it. If you look closely you might spot one! I’d love to eat my Christmas dinner here, wouldn’t you? The dress looks so bronze here with the tones surrounding it. I also chose this sequin camo bag from Monsoon whislt there. I love the extra-large tassels and the fact you can use it with a long strap or, as a clutch.

The Perfect Party Eye Look

A sparkly dress deserves sparkly makeup so I used my new Kat Von D Lolita Por Vida Palette (£45)*. Starting with the matte shades around the crease I built up the colour and used the Lolita Por Vida shade to smoke it out. After that, the pink shimmery shade Luna went on the centre and into the inner corners. Then finally on top the most glittery shade of them all Reina! I used Urban Decay Primer Potion underneath it all and set it with a spritz of Urban Decay setting spray. I also wore the same look for our works party and it stayed on and wore well into the next day at work too! Yes, I am that person that re-wears their eyeshadow especially when I’ve been drinking the night before and haven’t taken it off!

Once we’d explored it was time to descend down the handmade paper wisteria and tree-lined stairs. Absolutely beautiful! It was soon getting busy so I quickly departed and got changed into something less flash and explored the rest of the rooms. I’ll share those over on my Instagram so make sure you stop by to take a look!
