I nearly cancelled my Birchbox as las months was such a disappointment for me including the fact that they’ve I un-subscribed me from emails so didn’t get to choose my sample! I was quick off the mark this time though when I saw WAH nails announce they were the sample of choice for May’s box, so I picked the nail pen option as I’m such a fan of them so I gave them another chance.

Box wise they’ve jumped on the adult colouring bandwagon and actually it’s a pretty smart idea. They’ve also given a little pack of crayons with it so you can get cracking straight away!
The star inside the box is the WAH nail art pen (worth £7) I had prayed for navy as I’ve been eyeing that one up for a while in Boots but I got the mid-blue colour, as I don’t have a mid blue nail pen at all I’m more than happy and I think it might work for the design I have in mind anyway. My love for these pens are down to the striper which is on point , the pen is less so and I find it more free running than most of my pens so not always good for super intricate designs but does for most designs I must say.

I was also glad to see a brand I’m slowly growing lots of love for, Caudalie with a sample size of their Radiance Tinted Moisturiser in shade light (worth £10.12). It has an SPF 20 and I have great hopes that this may be my summer base sorted!

The other good addition is Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip a Rouge in New York (£21)  I’m not a big bold lip fab so this isn’t for me but I know there’s been a few lip fans liking that this was included.

I also got a sample of Parlour moisturising sea salt spray (30ml worth £3.47) which smells lovely, I like to do a tousled do on holiday as it hides the humidity frizz so in thinking this will be perfect for my Mexico trip!

RMK Point Makeup Remover (worth £6.90)
Very similar looking to the Nars eye makeup remover in the fact it’s a separated formula. I’m hoping it will remove my stubborn Tarte mascara that’s not budging for anything at the moment.

There was also a Sachet of No4 Lumiere d’hiver reconstructing masque. It’s £34 for a full size which is quite expensive for a hair masque but it does say a little goes a long way, I do like that I’ll use this so I’ll see how it goes!

All in all its a really good value box. (Worth £48.49).There’s a great mix of my favourite brands and new ones to discover so I’m glad I didn’t give up on Birchbox and I’m looking forward to June’s box to see if it lives up to this one! I’m off to colour my box in now!
