Just ask any one how obsessed I am with trying to do the perfect contour (I will not rest until I get the cheekbones to rival Maleficent one day) but in the meantime I’m just trying to perfect a quick 2 min contour for everyday that’s light to wear and looks like a better version of me.

I’m not sure if I’ve divulged before but I do my work makeup in my car every morning (whilst parked obvs!) so I need it to fulfil a few things:

  • Be quick
  • Not look too stupid before blend (as people like to have a good stare whilst I do my makeup!)
  • Not involve any faffy or lengthy techniques

My current base is Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream*(£30) , if you like a thick matte coverage then just don’t, but if you like a dewy natural finish this products for you! I must admit it’s started to act up on my over moisturised /semi oily skin recently but I think it may be to do with the serum I’ve been using so I’m planning to cut that out to see if that works. It also has an SPF 20 in it which is vital for a summer base in my opinion.

Once I’ve applied that it’s time for the quick contour. First up is Wild About Beauty Golden Skin Glow (£21). It’s pretty dark when it comes out but blends to give a soft tan colour, it can be used all over the face for a sun -kissed glow but I use this in my cheek hollows and up the side of my face to give a defined cheek. I apply and blend out using my Real Techniques Bold Metals Flat Contour Brush. Once I’ve done that I add blusher to the top of my cheeks to add a bit of colour.
I then finish off with the holy grail of highlighters The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer (£17.50) which gives the perfect champagne highlight and last for ages!

And that is literally it! It’s a quick longer lasting light contour that just adds a bit of extra definition during the day. I’m always looking for new products to contour with so let me know your faves in the comments below!
