Pastille is a cute beauty bar in Granary Wharf, Leeds. It’s opposite one of my top 5 restaurants to visit ever – Fazenda- and I’d often peered in wistfully whilst having a drink in the bar there.
So when I saw that Pastille were at the PS Pre Party event I made sure I went to have a chat especially when I saw all the Nail Polish! Erene, one of Pastille’s Directors was there and had brought with her this amazing nail art selection that clients can look through to gain inspiration, I was in heaven!
When I saw the dogtooth design I knew I had to have it (it’s definitely one I’ve never nailed, excuse the pun) so I booked in sharpish. As I was going on my holidays just after the next available appointment I decided to also have an Aztec design on my toes because, let’s be honest, I have NOT got time, patience or skill to paint intricate designs on my own toes!
When I arrived I thought I had a good idea of what I wanted, however faced with lots of OPI and Essie polishes plus some nail art reading material whilst I waited I think I was definitely spoilt for choice and I changed my mind on a few things whilst I was there!

Erene had booked me in with Olivia, Pastille’s Nail Art Expert. I love that each team member of Pastille has a speciality in a nail and a lash/brow treatment, although they are all trained in everything Pastille offers. You can see what each team member loves to do Here .Lauren was also there on my visit carrying out a lush Spa Pedi, which I think I’m going to go for on my next visit!
Once I’d finally chosen a gorgeous orange Essie colour for my pedi I got to sit in one of these whilst I was filed shaped and painted.
I don’t want to look as my nail art was being done, as I wanted to be surprised, and I was. I can’t believe how intricate the design was and the black looked so effective against the orange.

It was then time for my mani. Pastille offer free nail art consultations as part of your booking, just mention you might be interested when you book. They can take you though designs and colours and are great at suggesting what goes with what. I explained to Olivia I like skittle manis and I never have the same colour/ designs on all my nails. I also didn’t want monochrome nails for the houndstooth so I chose a gorgeous OPI neon coral. We then decided to go with square studs on my middle nail, and houndstooth on thumbs and ring fingers. Perfect!
I was so impressed by Olivia’s skill and she has great attention to detail too. The OPI dried matte, so we also discussed keeping the houndstooth nails in as matte effect, so an OPI matte topcoat was used on them.

Isn’t it just gorgeous!
It’s Pastille’s first birthday this month so happy birthday! Look out for special offers across their Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook Pages. You can also see lots of previous manis’s to get inspired.
The good news is nail art starts at just £2 and a dash mani is £13 so it’s really affordable to have cute nails! They also offer CND gel manis and pedis if you’re a gel fan. Their full price list is here .
Overall I really loved going to Pastille, I think Olivia did a fantastic job and it was nice to be in such a friendly and cosy beauty bar. I’m already planning my next visit, the only question is, which nail art do I have next??
