#NottsMeetSep14 Meet Up

I do love a good meet up, so when I saw there was a Nottingham one being organised by Gemma at Beautiful Things and Leah at Peaches and Smoke I put my name down sharpish!
Some of you may/may not know that one of the main reasons I blog (besides the actual enjoyment of blogging) is to allow me to meet new people, develop my networking skills and hopefully to make friends so im always keen to go along to a meet up for that exact reason.
Like most people though I don’t like going to places where I don’t know anyone but once I got to Sobar the venue for the day, I quickly got chatting to some lovely peeps over lunch:
– Siobhan of The Beauty Baker self confessed selfie addict, Anna at House of Bargain enabler to Siobhan – she’d brought along a selfie stick! And Becki – The Explorer who had extremely cute puppy pics!
After lovely food, I had a pulled pork pizza, we all moved upstairs where we met Suzie from Xenca who talked us through the natural products they offer.

We got to test the Eternity skincare range first which is free from all the bad things and is completely natural. I must say the backs of my hands were feeling super soft after trying it all out.

We then got onto their make up which I must say really surprised me!
The range is called Perfection and again is natural and cruelty free and has some stunning shades considering it is quite a capsule range.
The eyeshadows were a standout for me all having 2 shades in one pan, they were just so pigmented and blend able! I loved the 2 on the right especially.

There’s also some lovely lipstick shades but I didn’t try them, Cherry seemed to be a fave, but I did try the lipgloss which I really liked!

Once we’d swatched our hearts out Suzie then gave us our favourite eyeshadow or lipstick from the range- she truly was lovely (and inspiring as she’s faced adversity head on!)
I will do a separate post on the eyeshadow I chose and how much I heart it so look out for that.

Big thanks to the blogger programme for the personalised bag- which was filled with lovely goodies:

They’d looked at everyone’s blogs and even matched the colours to our blog themes!
There was also a raffle which many brands had contributed to, and I was lucky enough to win an Elf lipgloss, Leighton Denny Nail Polish Duo and some sweets from The Treat Company. It was then time to head of home, or shopping in some cases!

Here we are all together just before it all ended!
