Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Shower Cream

My last experience of hair remover cream was when I was 15, from the age of 11 until then my mum wouldn’t let me shave my legs (they’d grow back quicker!) so I had to use Immac (yes, before it became Veet). It stank really smelt, and so when I swopped to razors I never looked back!
I received this Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Cream in my goodie bag from the Notts Blogger Meet and so I decided to try it in time for my upcoming holiday. Bonus is the smell has improved over 15 years and there was only a faint underlying smell of the old hair removal creams I used to know.
I did a patch test 24 hours before and no rash appeared so I was good to go! I’ve found on the past that as my hair is very thick hair removal hasn’t worked so well so was fully expecting to shave after. I’d let my hair grow for a while too as I’d been thinking about waxing but couldn’t be bothered to go through the discomfort and spend the money, so it was a true challenge. (No before shots don’t worry!)

I applied the cream out of the shower and sat for a few mins before going into the shower. The max time you can leave on is 10 mins, so I started to remove at the 7 minute mark.
My first leg was slightly patchy as I think the cream needed a little longer, but I was amazed at how much it did remove, and the scraper implement was easy to use and was the same effort as shaving to use I would say.

The second leg was more successful and I’m really happy with the results on that. I’ve got no red rash which I can get in more sensitive areas so it’s ideal for holiday , it says it lasts up to 7 days so I will update on that when I know! 2 days in and no real re growth though.
I did manage to get the cream all over the shower and on my stomach as I bent over so that had an inadvertent hair removal too! I also nearly knocked myself out, as the main downside to the cream is it doesn’t wash down the plug hole that well and I slipped on the residue as I was removing it from my 2nd leg. I am now battered and bruised as I had nothing to hold onto to stop from falling- the things we do for beauty eh?- so caution make sure you rinse the bath/shower cubicle out as you go!
Overall , fall and showering included, the process took about 20 mins , and I would say it was time well spent. In future I may not go for a full leg and will probably use it on my more sensitive areas, I’m going to try my underarms next I think, as full leg was time consuming to apply and took about 3/4 of the bottle too.
Have you tried Nair before? What were your thoughts?
