Last Thursday saw the return of Ladies Night to Meadowhall, and it was bigger than before. I was lucky to be invited to the MHBloggersHub in Cafe Rizzoli before it all started and met up with some lovely bloggers I hadn’t met before and a few I had!

After chatting we went to go and meet Amy Childs. As a TOWIE watcher I was interested to meet her, and she was very lovely. We chatted to her about her clothing range, beauty salon, ambitions and more. It was nice to hear she left TOWIE to pursue her dreams of having a salon and to be known as Amy Childs, not Amy from TOWIE. I asked her what was in store for AW14, she was a little stumped and said she thinks of dresses all the time (don’t we all?!) and that AW sees her fave lace dresses with a longer calf length style, which is ‘sophisticated and sexy’ and also sees more jumpsuits in the range. Nail wise she had a classic French with soft stiletto tips, which she said she was trying out and getting used to!

Of course we got to have a selfie with her too!
We then saw the Polaroid dress, a wire mesh dress shape, which was being filled with Polaroids.

The rest of the evening consisted of us wandering around the centre using the guide, unfortunately a lot of things happening were super busy , had ran out or were fully booked, the queue to win a pair of shoes was huge and even candy floss had a queue of at least 100 people.
I really wanted some Cath Kidston Nail art but by the time we found out about it , it was fully booked. Super sad face.
I did manage to have another lovely hand massage from Crabtree & Evelyn, a selfie with the Kiehl’s skeleton, and we visited the Doncaster Racecourse stand for Pimms and fun with fascinators!

There were lots of brands offering discounts and freebies with purchase, i didn’t really take up on any but I did buy an Illamasqua polish for half price from Debenhams, and a nail polish from Crabtree & Evelyn as I had been thinking about it since the night before. I also got another free polish and mini hand cream for buying it so I was glad a caved in! I also met Amber Toots Beauty there which was a lovely end to the night!

The highlight of the night had to be all about meeting new people and hanging out. Overall I would have liked to see more happening in the department stores, we had to ask rather than see what was meant to be happening, some even admitted to being short staffed on the night, I did see a similar thing when I went to the beauty blow out, with some counters not even manned- I’m looking at you Decleor in HOF. Most of the smaller stores and brands taking part were friendlier with Lush,C&E and L’Octainne being the friendliest.
I’ve seen some mixed reviews on facebook on the night, I’d love to hear your thoughts if you went!
