I just couldn’t wait to do a Valentine’s themed manicure, as I had some new polishes that I was itching to try!
First up is Flower Polish in Budding Romance which is a shiny metallic deep red.
This applied really well and could be a one coater if in a rush, it’s just so shiny too! This photo is without topcoat:
For those of you that may not have heard of Flower Beauty Before it’s the makeup range that Drew Barrymore launched in the US in Wal-Mart. Bad news is there’s no where to buy it in the UK at present so it’s time to make friends with an American if you want some! It’s really affordable at under $5 and it’s 3-free which is another bonus.
They have said that they are planning to launch globally this year so let’s keep our eyes peeled!
The next one was the Nails Inc Alexa Hearts Here in a set for £25, (£16 on its own!)
It’s a clear polish with yes you guessed it red hearts in it. Getting those red hearts out is another battle entirely!
I mastered it by shaking the polish (I know you should never shake a bottle but this is too frustrating!) and then twisting the brush around and wiping it on the neck as I took it out, leaving the hearts there which makes them easier to pick up- patience is needed though!
I added an old Nails Inc fave of Fibre Optic in Belgravia Place to finish the mani.
