There’s been a lot (understatement!) of buzz around Make Up Revolution since it’s affordable beauty with dupes aplenty came on the scene. Now the hype for I ❤ Make Up its sister brand is also starting to build.
I finally placed an order a few weeks ago and I wanted to use them for a while rather than just giving initial first impressions.
There’s a few similarities with some of the I ❤ Make Up products to some Too Faced products but none more than the Blushing Hearts blushers.
Did you think it was the sweetheart blush for a minute?! As it’s MR’s sister affordability is still a factor so it’s only £4.99, that’s £19 less than the Too Faced equivalent.
I picked up the shade Blushing Hearts in Peachy Keen Heart Blusher as I’d been looking to get the Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in Peach Beach.
The blush contains 3 baked shades that can be used seperately or together. The colour payoff is there however I would like it to be more peachy. I think there is a good gold aspect to it, and the largest shade is a great shimmer bronzer for my shade skin. Compared to the Too Faced the two largest shades look very similar in the pan, but the smallest is a much lighter gold in the Too Faced blush almost a highlighter, whereas the Blushing Hearts shade is very similar to the largest shade and doesn’t stand out as much in the blush.
Overall I think this blusher is great for the price, it hasn’t over taken hourglass on the favourite stakes, but is one I’ve been reaching for second as a change. For £4.99 it’s a definite bargain.
