I’d never been to the centre of Harrogate before so when Mr E whisked me away there for a weekend who was I to say no? We started off the adventure a little further up the M62 at the Fox Bar and Bistro in Ripponden. Their picnic bench afternoon teas are amazing and this one didn’t disappoint. BEST AFTERNOON TEA EVER.

We stopped off for outfit photos at Booth Wood Reservoir just because I thought it looked cool.

I wore:Shirt Dress: Simply Be  /Top: Primark new season/ Necklace: Pull&Bear(Mexico)/ Leather Pencil Skirt: ASOS Curve (2014) /Sandals: River Island /Bag: Mulberry

I love this look but think I need a lower necked top to finish it off a little better. I was so glad I got to wear the ASOS Curve Skirt I bought it last year in the sale for £15! It’s real leather with stretch panels at either side which gives it great shape whilst on, but hadn’t found the right outfit for it. I’m also obsessing over the Simply Be Shirt Dress and I’m considering getting one of the others they’ve brought out in the same style.

We then arrived at the Majestic Hotel, we’d upgraded to a premium room which was lush, we holed ourselves in our room and … Watched the original Superman movie on channel 5!! It was lovely to snuggle and just chill before we got ready for dinner. Dinner was nothing to write home about, starters pretty good, mains were good and puds were okay. The dining room itself is massive but there were lots of tables for 2 set so it still felt intimate enough and was just nice to chill out to be honest.

The next day we had breakfast, visited the hotel spa (jacuzzi and pool) and then went shopping. We picked up these meringues that were the size of my head from a little cafe on our way back , just amazing!

Before heading home we went to Burgers&More, they’ve just opened next to the Kimberley hotel and the owner used to own a pub in a village near us so we thought we would try out their new offering, Mr E also designed his logo through work so he wanted to see it too. The food was better than the hotel offering and the desserts were amazing!

As we were fairly full from breakfast still we had the mini pizza’s and the mini burgers to share. Super cute and the burgers had so much flavour, we went for the Black Beauty (had black pudding in the burger) and the Matador (chorizo mixed in !) they were on point!

We couldn’t not have dessert though so we shared the chocolate brownie and lemon meringue sundae. Both were so nice and the brownie was a massive portion to boot! I love the decor especially as everything was locally sourced, the tables were made at a local furniture shop and the art is a local graffiti artists handiwork. We will definitely be going back as I can’t get the Black Beauty Burger off my mind.

On our walk back to the car we saw a few house/flats to buy so of course it was only right I spent the journey home looking at house prices there, it’s safe to say we won’t be moving as a one bedroom flat in a church conversion was more than our current house! Am I only person that does this though?  I love having a nose on the photos too and it made the journey back through traffic a little more interesting, let me know I’m not alone in the comments!
