I’m always on the lookout for a light coverage liquid foundation so when I saw the Collection Cover and Go one I thought I should give it a try, it’s concept is similar to the Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer (£29.50) in that it houses a mini mirror and pan concealer in the lid section of the product. It’s a little less expensive at £5.99 too!

Admittedly when you squeeze the foundation from the tube it is rather thick , however once it’s on my foundation brush and buffed into my skin it gives light coverage I would say. I’ve seen reviews that said they felt it was greasy but I can’t say I’ve had that issue and it has become a favourite for a quick natural base for work days (saving more expensive bases for when I care about having lovely makeup!)
However the concealer has let this product down, it’s too cakey and drying for the under eye area and I found it settled in my little wrinkles that I seem to be developing as I hurtle towards my 33rd Birthday! I also found it didn’t really conceal any blemishes as it was also quite light when applied, and it also highlighted any dry skin I had too.

It’s a shame that the concealer really feels like an after thought to enable the concept of the 2 in 1 packaging to work, and actually just lets the product down.

I’d love to know what affordable bases you recommend as I won’t be re purchasing this one once thanks to the poor coverage concealer.
