I love Alice in Wonderland, it’s one of my ‘things’, I loved it as a child, and then themed my wedding around it (nothing tacky honest!!) I even had a blue dress. Since then anything Alice is brought to my attention so when Chatsworth House showed their Christmas exhibition to be Alice in Wonderland my friends and family flocked to tell me.
The last day of the exhibition was on Sunday the 4th (my actual birthday) so me and Mr E headed there to have a look around.
Fortunately it was a lovely winters day, frosty on the ground but piercing blue skies and a glaring sun, which made it perfect for exploring the gardens after we’d looked through the house.
Is never been inside Chatsworth before and I discovered why when looking into how much it costs (£22 for house and gardens) but it was well worth it I just say.
A large portion of the house is closed during winter, so once the Alice in Wonderland tour part was over that was it for the inside.
I’ve tried not to make this post too full of photos but had trouble picking my best bits!

Once we got outside it was time to explore the gardens. I was surprised at how much there was to see and in the two hours we spent we only saw a third of it at most! Best of all there was an actual maze which we had great fun getting lost in! You can see just how frosty a day it was from my panorama from inside the middle of the maze.
