Birchbox July

These are becoming a regular feature on here, but I do so look forward to my Birchbox arriving each month!
The last 2 were nothing short of immense and I knew it couldn’t carry on for much longer but I must admit in slightly disappointed, not hugely but a little.
The theme was Sun, Sea and Sand, and was a travel size frenzy, I don’t quite get how it really applied to the theme that well though, I’ve never taken bath soak away with me!

Also for me , everytime I see others getting nail products (modelsown polish and a nail buffer lifestyle extra) and I don’t get any, I get quite annoyed- do they not see my profile!?i do know it’s all luck but this is the second time I’ve missed out on nail polish, which would really make my box for me.

So onto what I did receive…

First up is Whish, Three Whishes Lavendar Body Butter (22ml worth £2.12)
Smells lovely and has organic Shea butter and aloe Vera in it on first application it does sink in well, and is a good travel size. I’d still favour an aftersun with Aloe for holidays but may be handy as a car or work moisturiser when you need to cover dry knees (yes happens regularly to me!!)

Next up is Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream (7ml worth £9.33). I’m currently using a nip and fab eye serum but will see how I get on with this when that’s finished. I’ve seen good initial thoughts on it, but it’s not something I’ve been itching to try.

My favourite item in the box is the Laqa & Co, Sheer Lip Lube Pencil in Bees Knees (coral) (£unknown mini size, approx half of usual size at £14) . The sheer coral colour is lovely and ideal for a natural lip with a flush of colour.

Next up is Benefit Porefessional Mini (£8.45) , I’m not a big fan of this and it appeared in a few months back box just before I subscribed so I didn’t expect to see it in boxes so soon again. I did also note that the Soigné nail polish is back on the list for this months box and the Philip Kingsley dry shampoo- it’s starting to look a bit recycled!

Last up is the hotel toiletry brand of choice Gilchrist & Soames, with English Spa Sea Kelp Extract Mineral Bath (£1.90). I’m sure I used this the last time I stayed in a Best Western.. You get my drift. I’m not overwhelmed by the smell either.

Oh I nearly forgot the lifestyle extra – Chia Seeds (49p), let’s just say I’d have preferred the breath spray.

The worth is £22.29 plus the lip pencil, so around £30. Not bad but no full sizes, reused samples and nothing overly inspiring for me I’m afraid or useful for my upcoming holidays.

Do you subscribe? What did you get in yours? Go on, make me jealous of your nail polish!
