A Chiffon Dress for Dreary Days

I’ve got a really quick post for you today in what I wore when we visited Leeds for the weekend (post here). I wanted something comfy, easy to move about in and something that was still nice enough to wear to afternoon tea.

I picked up this George At Asda dress a little before the trip, thinking it would be good for work, I love the pleated and fluted skirt and the fact it’s that chiffony material which means you can wash, hang and wear it straight away, so no ironing is required. That, plus it travels well with hardly any creasing. Bonus. Plus the print is lush and we all know I love a good black background Floral print.

It comes with the slip I’m wearing, as it’s see-through without. I’m wearing the slip back to front here to make it a bit lower and have more Chiffon only at the front. For work I do wear it the right way around fear not (I personally draw the line at bra flashing in the office!) I picked out the teal colour in the print with my bag of the moment from River Island. It’s last years I hate to say but take a look at this Fiorelli one  if this colour is your bag (lols I couldn’t resist).

Looking at the print now I do think pulling out the orangey or mustard colours would also look great! It’s not available anymore (sorrrry) but this one has a similar vibe to it I feel! I’m also loving this one from Boohoo Plus too, if you prefer a lower cut, shorter style. It’s still chiffony though so the ironing factor should still be reduced and you can’t not agree that that’s a benefit right!?
