I was so excited for this day out! I was in the process of booking tickets to go to the Ladbrokes St Leger Race Meet at Doncaster Races (for the Saturday when the Leger race is ran) when I received an email from Branded3 PR inviting me to the Leger Ladies day as a guest of Ladbrokes. You’ll have never seen a girl book a days holiday so fast! I was in! Living quite close to Doncaster it is a local event that everyone turns out for year after year but I had never been to the ladies day before! I knew it was big and knew I had to make a good effort.

You saw all the outfit choices I had made before the event and I think it’s safe to say I went ALL OUT, it’s not everyday I get to hang out in hospitality with full restaurant service , 3 course meal and fizz on tap now is it?!

The day did not disappoint at all. Prep started in the week leading up to ladies day and as I was going the Saturday with my friends I knew it was worth all the prep as at least I’d get twice as much use out of it!

I decided to plan my fortnightly eyebrow wax and tint at Pastille the day before to maximise my eyebrow game, and they also came to the rescue when I’d lost a few Swarovski gems from my pedicure that I did the night before! I used volcano and rose AB stones across both big toes and was so happy I managed to do them myself. My manicure of course matched my dress.

Next up was a spray tan which I have never had before! My friend owns a place near the racecourse called the Tanning Hut and luckily squeezed me into her very booked our schedule of tans for that week! It’s one of the automatic booths (like the episode of Friends when Ross gets one!) but much better than that! It looked really natural so was very happy with it. I’ll be going back for other events too as it latest ages too with regular moisturising and didn’t go patchy!

The final prep was my hair, I’ve struggled with it since I had it cut a little shorter so decided to go to my hairdressers Salon You in Retford. I took my fascinator with me and had the most amazing curly blow dry for the day. It was worth the money as it meant I could relax and not worry about doing my hair which I’m always crap at!

I did my own makeup and finally arrived at the races (a little late thanks to a zip malfunction) and my faves had saved me a seat.

This ones from Kellie she even got rid of my bra strap from the pic as it had slipped out! Another star!!

My dress was from Warehouse – the zip was broken so I made it into an open back with little buttons at the top , I think I’ll be adding a whole new zip for next time as the lower part of the zip was just a pain. I added some Next shoes from EBay , my flamingo fascinator a from Debenhams nd a Love Moschino clutch from ASOS. For my jewellery my wedding jewellery came out, my Tiffany yard of diamonds a present from my parents , my Tiffany yard of diamonds aquamarine necklace and bracelet, my present to me and my Tiffany key my husbands present to me on my wedding day! I need to wear them more often I must say as I love them!

After outfit shots in the glorious weather it was time for foooood! It was lush! We also started drinking prosecco at this point and placing our bets. Time just flew, we watched the races from the restaurants balcony, did some matchmaking (unsuccessfully!) and tried to steal our table host James to come and live in our houses and host dinner parties for us! It was such good fun!

The observant amongst you may notice not only do the selfies get blurrier as the day progresses I also changed my dress! (And shoes!!) this number was a comfy ASOS number that I took incase the zip broke fully on my other. I decided to just change anyway once I added my white chunky comfy heels from Topshop.

Needless to say this day didn’t disappoint! Can I do it all again please?
