Wireless Festival 2014

When I saw the release of wireless tickets and saw the dates were so close to our 4th wedding anniversary I knew it had to be done!
We adventured to Brighton for our anniversary and stayed in Borehamwood both nights (thanks £19 travelodge rooms!) ready for Wireless on a the Friday.
I thought I’d share a few pics here as it was so good!
We went VIP which was good (except the free bar ran out of lots of drinks including water! and we queued for half an hour missing part of Tinie’s set- not happy!) it meant we were next to the press office so I spotted Etta Bond and Jess Glyne being interviewed for MTV, Ella Eyre had some photos right next up me, and Laura Whitmore, Jameela Jamil and Henry Holland were just casually walking around.

I also bumped into one of my fave artists Shakka (if you don’t know, get to know, lol) as he was on stage later in the day with Basement Jaxx.

And met DJ Charlesy (Tinie Tempah’s very talented tour DJ and partner in crime!)

It was a gorgeous day, I finally got to see Etta Bond live, which was a highlight, and also managed to see Ella Eyre, Angel Haze, Iggy, Tinie, Pharell, Basement Jaxx (the best of the night) and Kanye.

And for those that have already heard yes, Kanye did get booed (not by us, I think people should respect others) as he was doing his rant for nearly 20 minutes, people just wanted him to rap and sing not preach. I personally think his message got lost (I only really remember him going on about saving face and f*** his face, creators always wanting to create more stuff and telling Kim he was going to marry her 7 years ago, oh and some moan about Nike), he should have used less time and words to get his message across succinctness is a skill he could develop, as I think there were some inspiring messages within it all.
Apart from the Kanye rant and Angel Haze singing in the crowd (which meant you couldn’t see her) the acts were great.
I’d highly recommend Basement Jaxx for an overall entertaining experience and a total feel good factor, Pharell for just smashing out hit after hit to dance and sing to, Etta and Ella for amazing vocals and Tinie with DJ Charlesy for getting the crowd hyped! Kanye did pull out the classics after his preach and the remaining crowd went wild for them.

Outfit wise I wore a hand made floral crown (tutorial coming soon!), and repped George at ASDA with This G21 Embroidered Vest (£12) and these embroidered denim shorts (£12).

The nails matched the top, of course!

I’d love to know if you went to wireless this year? If not who is your favourite act you’ve seen live?
